Album Shades of Love is a production collage record. As a result, the sound range is significantly expanded. Whenever possible, a person with an analog instrument was recorded live in order to attain the goal of organic sound as a prevalent quality for the entire album.
This is what Sharmi says about her latest album:
First of all I sought freshness and to air my head. There is so much beautiful and undiscovered music in the world. I knew it was waiting for me. As you grow older, you begin to revolve around the same old tested sounds. Yet, a sense of security in music is not what it’s all about. My goal was to seek out new lands and music is but an endless horizon of sounds and auditory impressions. Relying mostly on your knowledge and intuition you can reach places you have never seen. I knew the trip was worth a try with someone who shared the same outlook and who would grab you by the hand in those unfathomable quests. Compromise became my brother since my supreme goal was music and not my ego. Before we started working and recording, we spent a few days on discussions about democracy in our team until we were ready to be changed by each other. Acceptance and a heart open to the sensitivity of another musician were a key to the new world of music where you have not been before.
Our inspirations were the pops of 80’s and 90’s. Love. Coffee. Palo Santo...
The single promoting the album Shades of Love is the song “Rolling Stones”, a duet with Frank McComb.
